IT'S THE END OF A DECADE...

ON JANUARY THE FIRST, 2000, THE THIRD MILLENIUM BEGAN. THAT'S SOMETHING THAT WON'T END FOR A LONG TIME, BUT SOMETHING HAS ENDED. A DECADE, THAT'S WHAT.

From 00:00am on January 1st 2000 until 00:00am on January 1st 2010, the first decade of the third millenium existed. From the 2000 millenium celebrations, to the dreadful 9/11 in 2001, through to the Queen's golden jubilee in 2002 and on to the Credit Crunch that began in September '07, we've seen a decade pass. A decade of discovery, freedom, and an end to one thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine years of the 2nd millenium.

Sure, not everything of the past ten years was good. But it wasn't all bad either, and whether you can remember the beggining or not - you can remember the end. And now you can see the dawn of a new age. Goodbye, 2000-2010, hello 2010-2020!

If we survive the forecast end of the world on December 21st 2012... but that's another story, and one you can research yourself if I've sparked you're interest, by going to www.wikipedia.org and searching for "2012 phenomenon". By the way, don's ask me to explain a word of any of it! :)
